#ProjectProgress: Summer on Shelter Island

Weekend ferry trips to and from Long Island have only been a part of our very busy schedule, but here’s a little peek into what we’ve been doing there.

In addition to a few other homes around Long Island, we’re working on pulling together a Shelter Island renovation for a fun, young couple which has a coastal modern aesthetic with a slightly eclectic mix of styles, finishes and textures.

What we’re doing now is a “Phase 1” renovation, which includes work in the living room, entry, master bedroom, bunk room and guest bedroom in order to make the home livable, ready, and comfortable for the summer season.

The homeowners recently bought the home and we’ve added beautiful all new flooring throughout. Several other great details are also in the works such as a reclaimed mantel, built in bookshelves, and barn doors—all of which we can’t wait to come together and be able to show you!

This fall we will be tackling the kitchen and bathrooms to complete the renovation, but take a look at some of our inspiration and progress shots of this beautiful Shelter Island Home!
